Stars

Stars are basically giant balls of hot gas held together by gravity, and they are mostly made of hydrogen and helium. Inside their cores, a process called nuclear fusion happens where hydrogen atoms smash together to create helium. This releases a ton of energy, which is why they glow so brightly and give off heat. Even though they look like tiny dots in the sky, most of them are actually way bigger than the sun; they just seem small because they are trillions of miles away. It is cool how their colors tell you their exact temperature.
